Elon Musk Has ‘Weird’ Reaction to Sydney Sweeney’s Bold Video

Elon Musk recently took to social media to react to one of Sydney Sweeney‘s videos from the premiere of The Housemaid, posted by Variety. In the video, Sweeney could be seen channeling her inner Marilyn Monroe by wearing a deep-neck white gown. Along with a one-liner comment, he also posted a meme about her appearance, which has garnered massive attention from the internet.

Musk took to X (formerly Twitter), retweeting Variety’s red carpet video of Sweeney from the Los Angeles premiere of The Housemaid. In the video, Sweeney is seen wearing a white, plunging gown by the bridal designer Galia Lahav, paired with her blonde hair straightened and red lipstick.

Musk shared a meme that appeared to reference Sweeney’s body. In the meme, a woman with a fuller bust is shown and labeled as “what it looks like.” Beneath it, a second image referencing back pain appears, captioned “how it feels.” He shared a brief comment, which read, “Can’t be easy.”

Previously, Tesla, the car brand co-founded by Musk, took to social media to react to Sweeney’s infamous American Eagle ad controversy, which many believed promoted ideas of genetic superiority and racism. The car’s X account posted a video of robotic arms testing the car seats, further referencing the controversy. The tweet read, “Our seats robot also has great jeans.” In a follow-up comment, it also referred to the car seats as “Seatney.”

Sweeney is all set to appear in the American psychological thriller, The Housemaid, which is set to release in theaters on December 19, 2025, in the US. Directed by Paul Feig, the film centers on a young woman with a troubled past who a wealthy family hires to be their live-in maid. Things take an unexpected turn when she discovers the household’s disturbing secrets.
