With FBI fans wondering what the future holds for Jubal Valentine and his team after the chaotic Season 8 fall finale, actor Jeremy Sisto has addressed whether his character could be leaving the police procedural drama. In a recent interview, the Clueless star reflected on the events of the intense midseason finale and the fallout from Jubal going rogue to protect his family.
Is Jeremy Sisto’s Jubal leaving FBI after Season 8 fall finale?
While speaking to Us Weekly about FBI Season 8 Episodes 9 and 10, Sisto indicated that Jubal may avoid serious consequences despite his unprofessional behavior in the fall finale. According to the 51-year-old actor, the special agent’s actions could be viewed within the larger context of the outcome of the case.
Addressing whether Jubal could leave the FBI series when Season 8 returns, Sisto said, “He’s definitely waiting for the call, but I think he might skirt this one because it was such a big win for the agency. And at the end of the day, we really saved a lot of lives, and so I think, in reality, that is going to take precedence, and he’s going to not have to pay consequences.”
In the midseason finale, Jubal interrogates a suspect in a hospital after his son, Tyler, falls unconscious after inadvertently becoming involved in an explosion. During the interrogation, Jubal takes his methods too far, which results in his torturing the suspect. However, he later regains control and ultimately takes the main antagonist into custody after saving his life instead of killing him in retaliation.
Sisto also teased upcoming episodes, revealing that one storyline will see “danger hit pretty close to home for all the agents, in a pretty unique way that we have not seen.” He added that another episode will feature Jubal being “out of the office and into the world” during a kidnapping case. Sisto described it as being reminiscent of “a different type of story” that feels closer to a Law and Order-style investigation.
FBI Season 8 will resume airing new episodes on February 23, 2026.
