A new theory regarding the release date of Avengers: Doomsday‘s first trailer has emerged online. Speculation and circulating reports have suggested that the first trailer for the highly anticipated MCU film could play in front of Avatar: Fire and Ash when it releases on December 19, 2025. However, a new theory claims that the trailer could arrive even earlier.
New theory reveals early release date for Avengers: Doomsday trailer
The Cosmic Circus’ Alex Perez, a notable industry insider, hinted in an X (formerly Twitter) post that the first Avengers: Doomsday trailer could drop on December 7, 2025, at 7 pm ET. Notably, the post included a screenshot of a clip from The Fantastic Four: First Steps used in the film’s promotional campaign. The clip in question shows Reed Richards telling a documentary team touring the Baxter Building that he and his teammates never miss Sunday dinner, which takes place at 7 pm sharp.
The post also includes two messages. One that asks, “What are the chances Avengers Doomsday’s teaser drops on December 7th?” and another that is crossed out.
Supporting Perez’s aforementioned theory is a pattern that fans have noticed in recent weeks. The official X page of Fantastic Four has posted the aforementioned clip every Sunday at 7 pm. The clip’s Sunday uploads are rather odd, considering that First Steps has finished its theatrical run and is now streaming on Disney+.
The theory suggests that Disney has been subtly doing a viral marketing campaign via the Fantastic Four account and that the consistent uploads of the above clip would be replaced on December 7 with a teaser from Doomsday. (via ComicBook.com)

The above theory arrived several weeks after Collider reported that Doomsday’s first trailer will play in front of Avatar: Fire and Ash’s screenings.
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to premiere in theaters on December 18, 2026. Anthony and Joe Russo, who helmed Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, are the film’s directors. Meanwhile, Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely co-wrote the screenplay.
