Hugh Jackman & Girlfriend Sutton Foster Twin in Black During Red Carpet

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster stunned with their coordinated black looks as they continued their awards-season appearances together. The couple, who recently made their relationship public, arrived in style at the 35th annual Gotham Awards, where Jackman received the Musical Tribute honor.

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster walked the Gotham Awards red carpet on Monday, December 1. Jackman was honored with the Musical Tribute award, and he attended the ceremony in a sleek black suit and tie. Foster complemented him with a matching black sequined dress, making the pair stand out as they twinned in coordinated outfits.

The event, held at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, also recognized Jackman’s Song Sung Blue co-star Kate Hudson, with both actors among the honorees. In Craig Brewer’s upcoming biopic, releasing December 25, Jackman plays Mike Sardina, also known as “Lightning,” opposite Hudson’s Claire Sardina, or “Thunder,” real-life musicians who famously formed a Neil Diamond tribute band.

Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster’s romance has gotten fans’ attention since January, when they were photographed holding hands in Los Angeles. The two previously starred together in the 2022 Broadway revival of The Music Man. Their first official red carpet appearance as a couple happened on October 26 at AFI Fest. Foster supported Jackman during the premiere of Song Sung Blue.

Both actors have navigated some major personal changes over the past year. Jackman finalized his divorce from Deborra-lee Furness in June after 27 years of marriage. Foster filed for divorce from her husband, Ted Griffin, in October 2024 after a decade together. Despite the transitions, those close to the pair say their relationship has flourished.

A source told People in October that the two are “in love and were genuinely excited to walk the carpet together” at AFI Fest. “The drama is behind them now, and they’ve built a strong foundation of trust,” the source added.

All in all, with Song Sung Blue releasing soon, Jackman’s awards-season run is building momentum with Foster by his side.
