Meanwhile, according to recent reports, Edmonds celebrated his daughter’s birthday by throwing a Taylor Swift-themed party for the now 9-year-old. Former MLB center fielder Jim Edmonds took to Instagram to share a post featuring his wife, Kortnie O’Connor, and his three children with ex-wife Meghan King. This post came just a week after King reportedly lost custody of her children for allegedly giving Ritalin to one of her sons on multiple occasions.
Edmonds’ post, captioned “What a week! A lot to be Thankful for @kortnieoc,” included pictures of the five of them together and featured glimpses of his daughter Aspen’s Taylor Swift-themed 9th birthday celebration.
On her cake were the words “Feeling 9 (Aspen’s Version),” along with a few of Swift’s songs and album titles mentioned. It also had a football with the number 87 on it, dedicated to Travis Kelce. Fans flooded the comments section with love and affection for the family, with one fan writing, “You guys are doing a great job, the kids look like they are having a magical childhood.” Meanwhile, another fan commented, “They look so happy and I love they are just being kids!! Great job guys!!!”
Earlier, Jim reportedly received full custody of all three children, while a judge granted King supervised visitation. At the time, TMZ reported that a source informed them that the ruling came after a school employee called Child Protective Services, after Meghan allegedly gave her 6-year-old son unprescribed Ritalin multiple times. Additionally, she also reportedly asked the school nurse to administer it, despite her son not having an ADHD diagnosis, as per Page Six.
