Marquay ‘The Goat’ Collins, the TikToker famously known for his TikToks posted under the name “marquaythegoat,” was pronounced dead on Wednesday. The Muscogee County coroner, Buddy Bryan, told TMZ that Marquay’s sudden death might be due to his involvement in a car accident during the first week of November.
Marquay took to TikTok to share the aftermath of the accident, showing his injuries and the damage to his car. Bryan also reportedly said that Marquay complained to his brother about head and neck pain in the days leading up to his death.
His mother, Sonja Collins, who often appeared in his videos, took to Instagram to post a tribute to her son. “My heart is broken. My baby, my last one, my SnuggaBug, my Marquay is no longer here with me. He was the sweetest person he didn’t have a mean bone in his body,” she wrote in the caption. “I needed him longer than God allowed me to have him. He spoiled me and his Dad, Elzie, he always said because we spoiled him. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and prayers, enjoy the rest of your day,” she added.
After initially seeing an undetermined cause of death ruling, the coroner believes that Marquay’s death is connected to the accident. The publication mentioned above reported that Marquay’s body will soon go to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for an autopsy.
