Republic Records and Nothing Projects Interactive are dropping a game-changer: OnlyHands, a mobile fighting game where music isn’t just background noise but what influences the gameplay. The real-time game, all set to launch in Q4 2025, lets players embody Republic Records icons during the face-offs. Music lovers and ardent fans can now turn their textual debates into adrenaline-pumping virtual showdowns with OnlyHands, a music-driven mobile fighting game. OnlyHands dropping in Q4, 2025, will let players channel their Republic Records icon to battle in sync with their beats.

While the playable artists for OnlyHands are still under wraps, the Republic Records’ massive roster hints at the possibilities of many musical heavyweights. Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Conan Gray, Cynthia Erivo, Florence + the Machine, John Legend,  Jonas Brothers, Kid Cudi, Kim Petras, Lorde, Miranda Lambert, Nicki Minaj, Pearl Jam, Shania Twain, Stevie Wonder, and many more.

With the gaming-music crossover hype currently at its peak, the OnlyHands launch announcement couldn’t have come at a better time. It follows Republic Records’ launch of Boombox on Roblox, which includes the ability to listen to music in-game. In 2023, Republic Records joined hands with metaverse studio Karta and JYP Management to unveil TWICE Square, a metaverse fan hub for the K-pop group.

Speaking on the path-breaking collaboration, Avery Lipman, Founder, Republic Records & Vice Chairman and COO, REPUBLIC Collective, said, “When we first met with Nothing Projects Interactive, we bonded over a similar commitment to pursuing innovation in our respective worlds.”

“They’ve created a new paradigm with OnlyHands. It’s a seamless platform for the integration of gaming, music, and culture”, Lipman added.

Meanwhile, Nothing Projects Interactive describes OnlyHands as an “interactive playground” where music and gaming fuel each other. The game is designed to evolve alongside developments in pop culture, much faster than most games.

“Gaming and music were never truly separate—they just hadn’t found their native form”, Zane Comer, CEO of Nothing Projects Interactive, said.
