In the letter, Diesel reiterated that he named his daughter Pauline in Walker’s honor, writing, “I named her Pauline… Never got to meet her Uncle Pablo, but when I call her name, I know you’re near.” He described the “dark days” that followed Walker’s death and mentioned support from people like Kobe Bryant and Michael, whom he called “angels” during a difficult period.
Diesel also talked about how his children connect to Walker’s legacy. He shared that Pauline now plays basketball and wears the number 24, and that his son, whom Walker once celebrated a birthday with, is now 15. The actor revisited smaller on-set memories as well, saying, “SpongeBob on your brand new iPhone. That grin,” emphasizing how these moments remain vivid.
He further spoke about his continued bond with Walker’s family, calling Meadow Walker “a gift” to his children and recalling a recent meeting with Walker’s mother. Diesel closed his tribute by reaffirming their enduring connection: “You were always my other half… Twelve years. Not sorrowful, brother. Blessed.”
Paul Walker first appeared as Brian O’Conner in 2001’s The Fast and the Furious, helping launch what would become a multi-billion-dollar global franchise. He went on to star in five sequels, becoming a recognizable character alongside Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez.
Following Walker’s death, production on Furious 7 halted before filmmakers used his brothers to help complete his remaining scenes. Brian’s character has remained alive in the story, but has not reappeared on screen since.
