Magician Can’t Remember the ‘Password’ to His Own Hand

Magician Zi Teng Wang disclosed that he has literally forgotten his hand password. Wang revealed in a Facebook post on 20 November that he had accidentally locked himself out of the RFID chip implanted in his own hand. He confessed he actually forgot the “password” to the hand implant.

Magician reveals he forgot the password of the RFID chip in his hand

Magician Zi Teng Wang has lost access to his hand password. Wang has hindered his magician abilities because he literally forgot the password of the RFID chip in his hand. He explained that he originally installed the chip to perform magic tricks. However, he realised that scanning other people’s phones against his hand “really doesn’t come off super mysterious” (via Dexerto). Using his own phone to showcase a dramatic magic routine lacked a certain “oomph.”

Hence, Wang rewrote the chip several times to repurpose it and surprise audiences with a brilliant magic routine. Initially, the chip held a Bitcoin address, which literally never came up either. In the end, he repurposed the chip to link to a meme hosted on Imgur. The magician boasted, “and if you ever meet me in person, you can scan my chip and see the meme.”

However, in a cruel twist, the link eventually went offline. Wang tried to rewrite the chip with a different magic trick; he realised he had forgotten the password he originally used. The magician explained, “When I went to rewrite the chip, I was horrified to realize I forgot the password that I had locked it with.”

Wang consulted his “techie friends” to resolve the implant issue and repurpose it for a different use. However, his friends informed him that the chip was “too dumb and simple to hack.” The magician wrote, “Techie friends I’ve consulted with have determined that it’s too dumb and simple to hack.”

“The only way to crack it is to strap on an RFID reader for days to weeks, brute forcing every possible combination,” he added. The chip remains locked and cannot be accessed or modified without its password.

Wang concluded by stating, “I’m living my own cyberpunk dystopia life right now, locked out of technology inside my body, and it’s my own damn fault. And I can honestly say that I forgot the password to my own hand.”
