The world of Yellowstone is expanding, and fans just received a massive update on one of its most anticipated spin-offs. The upcoming spin-off, Y: Marshals, has locked in its premiere date and is swiftly approaching the end of its production, hinting that Kayce Dutton’s return is almost here.
Yellowstone’s Y: Marshals spin-off to end filming very soon
During the CMA Awards, Yellowstone Y: Marshals’ star Arielle Kebbel spoke with Entertainment Tonight and revealed that filming is almost complete. She also expressed relief that the team can finally discuss the project publicly. “We’ve been working so hard. I’m so grateful we have a release date. We can talk about it. We’re actually wrapping filming in like three weeks. So, yeah, it’s getting ready to get put out in the world,” she stated.
Her update confirms that the show is scheduled to wrap shooting in approximately three weeks. The progress aligns well with the March 2026 premiere, giving the team time to move into post-production. CBS has confirmed that Y: Marshals will debut on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET.
From showrunner Spencer Hudnut, known for his work on SEAL Team, Y: Marshals follows Kayce Dutton as he leaves the Yellowstone Ranch for a new path within an elite U.S. Marshals unit. The series will explore how his experience as a cowboy and the weight of his troubled history shape his approach to justice in Montana.
The spin-off is executive-produced by Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan and features a mix of familiar cast and new additions. Kebbel joins the series as a fellow U.S. Marshal working alongside Kayce. Moreover, Y: Marshals isn’t the only project extending the Dutton legacy. Another spin-off, The Dutton Ranch, will reunite Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler. The story will follow the couple as they confront difficult choices to ensure Carter (played by Finn Little) stays on the path toward becoming the man they hope he’ll be.
