Prince Harry Found Kris Jenner’s Party ‘Awkward’ — Source

Prince Harry may be used to royal palaces and centuries-old traditions. However, a source says he felt utterly out of place at Kris Jenner’s star-studded birthday bash, despite being accompanied by Meghan Markle. The Bond-themed 70th birthday celebration drew some of the biggest names. It was hosted at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s $165 million Beverly Hills mansion.

Guests included the entire Kardashian-Jenner family. It also had Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Beyoncé and Jay-Z, the Hilton sisters, and other A-list heavyweights. The lavish setting featured espresso martinis, Bruno Mars behind the decks, and personalised poker chips. But even with the glamour and high-profile company, insiders say the Duke of Sussex struggled to fit in.

According to a source who spoke exclusively to Closeronline, Prince Harry found the entire experience “surreal — and not in a good way.” The insider said, “Everyone could see he felt like a fish out of water and found the whole experience awkward.” They added, “He has got nothing against the Kardashians, but partying with reality stars and influencers isn’t what he imagined for his life when he moved to America.”

While Harry struggled, his wife, Meghan Markle, seemed to thrive. The source said the party was “a dream night out” for the Duchess. “She was totally in her element and went home totally starry-eyed, gushing about all the amazing connections they’d made and that the sky’s the limit now they’ve been officially accepted into Kris’s high-powered clique.”

One palace insider allegedly described the party as “tacky.” They pointed to the event’s extravagance as “at odds” with Prince William’s more restrained public image and vision for the monarchy. The person said, “It truly shows that Harry is so far removed from the rest of the family.” Furthermore, they added, “These people may be stars in America, but the ostentatiousness is at odds with what Prince William is trying to do with his life and the monarchy.”
