iPhone Foldable To Release in Fall 2026 Alongside 18 Pro Phones — Report

According to a new report, Apple’s foldable iPhone is expected to launch in Fall 2026 along with the iPhone 18 Pro series. Moreover, the report also suggests that Apple will follow a different release schedule when it comes to dropping the phones in storefronts. Furthermore, this release schedule will reportedly be followed by iPhone 18’s successors.

Report suggests iPhone foldable and 18 Pro phones will come out in fall 2026

According to a new report, Apple will launch the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the foldable in late 2026. These launches will be followed by iPhone, iPhone 18e, and a new iPhone Air, six months later.

This report comes from Bloomberg, who suggest that future iPhone releases will follow the same pattern. Thus, the new release pattern for iPhones marks a major shift from the typical pattern fans have come to expect — an annual September release.

According to the outlet, the new iPhone model is expected to be a high-end device with a curved glass screen. The camera will be hidden under the display.

Previously, it was reported that the iPhone Air 2 was planned to be released in 2026 but delayed to 2027. The Information purported that poor sales and installation of a second rear camera contributed to the delay.

However, Bloomberg clarified, via sources, that the successor to the Air wasn’t planned for 2026 in the first place. They also stressed that Apple didn’t want to incorporate the Air into its annual release schedule. They highlighted the device’s name — iPhone Air instead of iPhone 17 Air.

The outlet also touched upon what viewers could expect from the Air 2. They suggested, via insiders, that the Air would not have major structural differences from its predecessor. It will simply move to a 2-nanometer chip. Moreover, this chip would greatly improve Air’s battery life — a glaring flaw in the first model.

Moreover, the outlet also reported that the first half of 2026 would see iPhone 17e, updated Macs, and new iPads hit store shelves. Meanwhile, the second half will reportedly see new Apple watches and other Macs enter storefronts.
