Prince William raised eyebrows recently when he referenced Prince Harry during an episode of Eugene Levy’s AppleTV+ travel series “The Reluctant Traveler.” It marked only the second time in seven years that he had mentioned his brother in a public forum.
“I hope we don’t go back to some of the practices in the past Harry and I had to grow up with,” he said while discussing the future of the monarchy. For many, those few words signaled a rare softening in William’s stance.
According to a source who spoke with RadarOnline, the comment appeared to serve as “an olive branch.” The source alleges that both Princess Kate and King Charles have privately urged William to consider opening the door to carefully managed “truce talks,” more than five years after Harry and Meghan’s decision to leave their royal roles.
However, the same source claims William remains deeply cautious. The prince is said to be wary of informal communication after Harry publicly recounted private conversations in interviews and in his memoir “Spare.” Because of this, the source alleges that William would only contemplate reconnecting under “supervised” or highly controlled circumstances.
