Justin Trudeau’s ex-wife, Sophie Grégoire, seemingly comments on her former husband’s relationship with singer Katy Perry. Recently, Grégoire made an appearance on the Arlene is Alone podcast on November 12, where she revealed, “stuff affects us,” in response to a question posed by the host.

Justin Trudeau’s ex-wife, Sophie Grégoire, seemingly addresses her former husband’s public romance with pop star Katy Perry. Host Arlene Dickinson asked how she dealt with the publicity of Trudeau and Perry’s romance. To which Grégoire replied, “We’re human beings and stuff affects us. Normal. How you react to stuff is your decision. So I choose to try to listen to the music instead of the noise.”
Continuing further, she stated candidly, “I’m very aware that a lot of public stuff out there can be triggers. Right, we’re humans. What I do with it is my decision. The woman I want to become through this is my decision. Does that mean I don’t have emotions? That I don’t cry, scream, laugh? No. Especially that I’m a super tender heart, right? But it’s my decision after that, between the emotion and the reaction.”
Furthermore, Grégoire explained that she has to allow herself to feel the multitude and magnitude of emotions. She told host Dickinson, “I’ll let myself be disappointed by someone, I’ll let myself be angry, be sad. And I know for a fact how important it is, as a mental health advocate, to feel those emotions.”
Moreover, Justin Trudeau’s ex-wife praised him as a wonderful father to their children Xavier, Ella Grace, and Hadrien. She revealed empathetically, “We have separate lives, but we have one family life. You need a common, conscious decision that our family is our greatest creation and we’re going to feed it together, no matter if we’re on different life paths.”
Grégoire emphasised that she is “definitely not a single mom,” adding she has a “partnership” with her former partner, who has “deep love and availability to his children.”
Late in July this year, TMZ published pictures of Trudeau and Perry on a cozy dinner date in Montreal, Canada. The couple made their first public appearance in October this year. On October 25, TMZ spotted the pair at the Crazy Horse in Paris to celebrate the “Roar” singer’s 41st birthday.
