Erivo recently attended a special Screen Actors Guild screening at the Television Academy in LA, where she broke the silence on the Singapore fan incident related to Grande.

Reflecting on the incident, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, she said, “And we have come through some shit. We have come through some stuff in our lives, in our daily workings. I mean, f**k, even this last week. Let’s be honest, for f**k’s sakes, we’ve had to really deal with some stuff, and this movie has allowed us to really grow as people, as friends, as sisters, as artists, as actresses.”

Erivo further revealed that the cast have become a family and that she’ll continue to miss them. Listening to Erivo’s kind words, Grande became visibly overwhelmed. Expressing gratitude for the family she made on set, she added, “That is the thing that is special about this piece. And I’ll miss being in this group of people this constantly. Because you don’t get a group of people this close often on a set. You don’t earn family like this often, and we have. F**king lucky thing to be a part of.” Following the incident, the fan was charged with being a public nuisance. Wen updated his Instagram story on Thursday, saying that he was freed after being arrested.

Wicked: For Good originally premiered at the Suhai Music Hall in São Paulo, Brazil, and is set to hit the US theaters on November 21. Following up on the 2024 installment, the musical fantasy centers on Elphaba, now the Wicked Witch of the West, who lives in the Ozian Forest. Meanwhile, Glinda enjoys a life of fame and admiration in Emerald City. The beloved duo reunites when an angry mob targets the Wicked Witch.
