Travis Kelce’s Chiefs Will Win Super Bowl, Says WNBA Star

Indiana Fever mainstay Sophie Cunningham has come out to share her verdict on the 2025-26 NFL season, stating that she expects Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs to win the upcoming edition of the Super Bowl. Despite repping the Indiana jersey in the WNBA, the 29-year-old shooting guard backed the Chiefs to come out on top in the 2026’s ultimate football match-up, snubbing her side’s NFL counterpart, the Colts, in the process.

While a win at the next year’s big game would fetch the veteran tight end his fourth Super Bowl crown, it would be the fifth title in the Chiefs’ history. Notably, Andy Reid’s men have contested five of the last six Super Bowl matches, securing victory in three of them. Having started this season on an underwhelming note, the Chiefs currently sit in third place in the AFC West division with a record of 5-4.

Despite backing the Chiefs over the Colts, Sophie Cunningham did not forget to extend her support towards Indiana. She highlighted the injury troubles that have plagued the form of Indiana sides in basketball in recent times.

“I don’t know what’s going on in freaking Indie, but like it is the injury bug is high and heavy over there. So hopefully the Colts stay away. Hopefully, it’s just the basketball world,” the Missouri Tigers alumna said.

Indiana teams in the NBA, as well as the WNBA, faced several fitness issues in the last season. While the Pacers unceremoniously lost Tyrese Haliburton in Game 7 of the NBA finals, the Fever saw Caitlin Clark, Sydney Colson, Aari McDonald, and Cunningham herself get sidelined due to different injuries.
