Amal & George Clooney Different From What Is Being Reported — Source

George and Amal Clooney are facing a new round of marital speculation, but insiders maintain that the rumors don’t match reality. Talk resurfaced after Esquire reported that George, 64, indulged in a hefty night of drinking after the Tony Awards in June, leaving Amal, 47, allegedly upset.

In a post-show interview, the Oscar winner admitted he wrapped up the night “like a high school drunk,” and spent the following day feeling “sick.” His candid confession immediately reignited chatter that the couple has been experiencing friction behind the scenes.

According to a source, “Amal may not have been thrilled about George overindulging, especially since he is known for drinking only occasionally.” “That may or may not have sat well with Amal,” the insider said. “Everyone knows George doesn’t drink, so it is a little worrisome that he let loose and got blasted.”

However, the same source stressed that the incident was not a sign of marital collapse.“Will it end his marriage? Doubtful,” they clarified. “George and Amal love each other and have a beautiful life together. He adores her, and she adores him.”

George recently opened up about how he and his wife, Amal, juggle their demanding careers while raising their 8-year-old twins, Alexander and Ella. Speaking at the Los Angeles premiere of Jay Kelly on Nov. 11, the actor said the couple takes turns working to keep family life on track. “You’re never gonna get it all right—no one does,” Clooney said. “But you do the best you can.”

Clooney said he and Amal carefully coordinate their schedules so one of them is always home with the twins. “You try to pace it so that I’m doing it then she’s home and then she leaves, and I’m at home,” he explained. “We try to mix it up a bit.”
