Millie Bobby Brown’s reaction to a photographer at the Stranger Things Season 5 premiere in London has drawn significant attention after she visibly pushed back against being told to “smile.” The exchange, recorded during her red carpet appearance, has since been widely shared online.

During the November 13 event, the actress was posing for photos when someone from the press line called out, “Smile.” Brown stopped momentarily, pointed toward the photographers, and responded, “Smile? You smile,” before stepping away from the cameras. The 21-year-old attended the premiere wearing a couture design from Ashi Studio’s Fall 2025 collection.

The video of the moment circulated shortly after the event, prompting strong reactions from the audience. Many fans questioned Brown’s response, while others defended the Enola Holmes actor. Supporters praised her for addressing the comment directly.

Previously, Brown addressed her relationship with Stranger Things co-star David Harbour. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, she emphasized that their bond meant “so much” to her, explaining that they have been portraying “father and daughter” over the years. She also compared their connection to the close friendships shared by other cast members, including Noah Schnapp and Winona Ryder.

Millie Bobby Brown’s comments followed a Variety report stating that Netflix had previously carried out a months-long inquiry into a complaint she submitted, accusing Harbour of harassment and bullying.

After an 11-year run, Stranger Things will conclude with a three-part finale, released over a three-part schedule. The first chapter is scheduled to arrive on November 26, followed by additional installments on December 25 and December 31.
