The Voice Reveals Season 29 Premiere Date With Kelly Clarkson

The Voice Season 29 is back with a new twist, dubbed the ‘Battle of Champions’. NBC is scheduled to bring three veteran coaches to the big red chairs, while their format for the first week has shifted a bit.

The Voice announces Season 29 release date

The Voice Season 29 premiere date is scheduled for February 23, 2026, on NBC at 9/8c. To kick off the season, the show will air three special two-hour telecasts in the first week. The channel will have a two-hour premiere on Monday, February 23. It will be followed by a two-hour episode on Wednesday, February 25, at 8/7c, and then on Thursday, February 26, at 8/7c.

After this week, new episodes will resume their original time slot. They will be released on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET starting March 2, 2026. They will then be available to stream online via Peacock on the next day.

The Voice Season 29 is also bringing back Kelly Clarkson to the coaching chair. She will be joined by familiar faces, such as John Legend and Adam Levine. Each of these coaches has won various seasons. Clarkson holds four wins under her belt, while Levine has three and Legend has one.

The format of the season will give a championship vibe. It is because all three of the returning coaches will, yet again, compete for the title.

While talking about his return on The Voice and why he keeps coming back, John Legend said, “I love that we get to be surrounded by so much talent, and it’s really inspiring, truthfully. I learn so much from being on this show. I learn from coaching, I learn from the interaction I have with these Artists, and it’s very renewing because, you know, I’ve been making records for, like, 20 years now, and to be around Artists that have that hunger and that excitement is very renewing for me, and I love that experience.” (via NBC Insider)
