Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande’s fan incident video has recently gone viral, grabbing attention towards the former’s quick thinking. The duo, along with Michelle Yeoh and Jeff Goldblum, recently attended the “Wicked: For Good” premiere in Singapore. While the four cast members were walking on the yellow carpet and greeting fans, an incident put the event on hold for some time. A fan jumped off the barricade and grabbed the singer, leaving her mortified.

The clip showed the co-stars walking in front while the security team was just behind them. A crowd of admirers was cheering for the stars behind barricades. But one man rushed towards Grande, held her, and put his arms around her. His inappropriate act occurred in a flash that her bodyguards couldn’t stop him before he grabbed her. But the video featured Erivo being faster than the security.

She was walking next to Yeoh, but she didn’t waste a second when she sensed the fan’s intentions. The 38-year-old jumped next to Grande and pushed the man away. Then, the bodyguards escorted him out while Yeoh and Erivo were comforting the 32-year-old actor, who was left shaken.

Seeing Erivo’s bravery, netizens praised her quick thinking. One wrote, “Cynthia better than security,” while another said that she went “momma mode and stepped in real quick.” Furthermore, an individual seemed excited as they mentioned, “CYNTHIA WASNT PLAYING. Ugh that’s our girl.” Many appreciated her for being faster than the “bodyguards.”

Meanwhile, the upcoming movie, “Wicked: For Good,” will hit the theaters on November 21, 2025.
