Jason Kelce Sings an Off-Key Canada Anthem & Travis Kelce Can’t Look

Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce addressed one of their podcast’s most replayed moments after Jason delivered an off-key rendition of “O Canada” on New Heights. The brothers reacted in real time as Jason began singing. At the same moment, Travis smiled and covered his face.

Travis Kelce’s reaction to Jason’s off-key Canada anthem goes viral

Travis Kelce’s reaction to Jason’s off-key Canada anthem went viral after New Heights shared the clip on X. The post read, “Canada this one’s for you.” Travis covered his face with his hands while laughing as Jason attempted a freestyle rendition of “O Canada.”

Jason opened with “O Canada, our home and native land,” before shifting into improvised lines. He sang, “True, maple syrup, and poutine for our face,” followed by “We say hi, we hold doors,” before stopping and saying he was done. The singing occurred days after Jason issued a public apology for his earlier comments about the Toronto Blue Jays and the World Series. It followed his statement addressing the reaction to his remarks about the team and the championship series.

In his apology, Jason wrote, “Guys, I love Canada, I have been bamboozled by our social team that failed to show the whole story. How could I not love poutine, maple syrup, and beavers.” He also wrote that he was “actually rooting for the Blue Jays in a World Series that I didn’t care about.”

On the podcast, Jason referenced his previous remarks again. During the World Series discussion, he had said, “You’re telling me I’m supposed to get excited about a Canadian baseball team,” and added, “Everybody knew this was going to happen before the season.”

Travis had praised the series as an “awesome seven games of baseball” during that same exchange. The earlier comments led to significant backlash online, which prompted Jason’s on-air anthem performance.

Jason also tried restarting the song by naming Canadian comedians, singing “Jim Carrey” and “John Candy.” He told listeners, “It’s sarcasm, Canada.” Travis mentioned that visiting Toronto would be a good idea, calling it “one of my favorite cities.” Jason previously described himself as a “Canada advocate” and “ice hockey lover” in his November 8 post.
