Blake Lively has scored a win amid her ongoing legal battle. Reportedly, the defamation suit filed against her has been dismissed by the court due to jurisdictional reasons. The public relations company filed a lawsuit earlier this year, but now she has been steered clear of the lawsuit.
Blake Lively’s legal battle gets an update, claims source
Blake Lively seems to have scored a win in her never-ending legal battle. According to The Daily Mail, lawsuits filed against her in Texas in February 2025 by the PR firm Street Relations Inc. and its owner, Jed Wallace, have been thrown out of court.
The case was dismissed on Wednesday due to a jurisdiction issue. “The two separate cases were each dismissed due to jurisdiction,” a source told the outlet. “The difference is that Blake largely blamed Jed for the alleged smear campaign, but regardless of the reason behind the dismissal, Jed is no longer a part of the larger suit brought forth by Blake.”
Reportedly, the 38-year-old actress, Wallace, and her firm were named in a December 2024 lawsuit, along with Justin Baldoni, for allegedly engaging in bad behavior during the filming of “It Ends with Us.” Blake Lively claimed that Wallace was a collaborator in the efforts to tarnish her reputation via social media. After this, the company filed the lawsuit against her.
But with the dismissal, Lively and her team can easily present a strong case in court next spring. “With this decision, all of the retaliatory lawsuits filed against Blake Lively by Justin Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and their crisis communications and digital teams have been dismissed,” her rep told TMZ.
Blake Lively’s representative added that “Ms. Lively will have her day in court on her claims at the March trial in New York.”
