Meghan Trainor Has ‘Never Felt Better’ Amid Weight Loss Criticism

Meghan Trainor isn’t letting online commentary derail her confidence, but she admits it hasn’t been easy. In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, the singer said her latest single, “Still Don’t Care,” was born directly from the criticism she’s received about her changing appearance.

“The world’s getting crazier and meaner,” she said. She explained that the backlash intensified just as she was feeling her best after giving birth to her two sons. “For the first time ever after having babies, taking care of my health to the highest level, and I’ve never felt better. And I look incredible, I feel great — and that’s when people attack me? I was like, what?”

She added that she’s working on finding ways not to internalize the negativity. “So what am I supposed to do? I have to find a way to not be affected by that.” Her comments come after a weekend appearance at the 2025 Baby2Baby Gala, where Trainor unveiled a dramatic Cinderella-inspired look. Some fans praised the glamorous transformation, while others claimed she looked nearly unrecognizable.

Trainor has been open about her health journey throughout the year. In previous conversations with Entertainment Tonight, she shared that she had been “trying all the things” and learning more about how her body responds to exercise and nutrition.

She mentioned exploring supplements, adjusting her workouts, and making lifestyle changes with the help of professionals. Later, she also acknowledged using prescription medication as part of her postpartum weight-loss plan, something she said she approached with medical guidance.

Despite the scrutiny, Trainor appears focused on maintaining her well-being and channeling her experiences into music. And judging by her defiant new single, she’s determined to rise above the noise, even if the world, as she puts it, “is getting meaner.”
