Jennifer Aniston Says Women Are ‘Allowed’ a Seat at the Table in Hollywood

For Jennifer Aniston, the best part of being a woman in Hollywood today is finally having a voice — and a seat at the table. Aniston has spent more than three decades in front of the camera. In the process, she has experienced the highs and lows of the business firsthand, and after decades of breaking barriers, it’s clear she’s not slowing down. As she put it best: women in Hollywood “get s*** done,” and the proof is Aniston herself.

Jennifer Aniston opens up on the best of part of working in Hollywood

In a new interview with ELLE, Jennifer Aniston opened up about her long career, reflecting on how much the Hollywood industry has changed since her “FRIENDS” days. She told the magazine, “The best part about being a woman in Hollywood is that I’m a working woman in Hollywood.” Aniston gets to do what she loves, and she counts on it.

The Golden Globe winner added, “We get to create projects that are making a difference and bring in female voices,” emphasizing that it’s “a really wonderful thing that we get to do now that we’re allowed a seat at the table.”

Moreover, Aniston acknowledged how far women have come and how much work still remains. She recalled, “There was a period where we were not allowed at that table,” adding, “It was thought, ‘How adorable that you think you could be a producer or run a production company.’” Aniston emphasized how men dominated the industry, “and we still have a long way to go, but women in Hollywood make moves.”

The star, who now produces much of her own work, said, “The goal is quality, not quantity, and time spent with people you really, really care about.”

Over the years, Jennifer Aniston has evolved from a sitcom icon to one of Hollywood’s most respected leading women, balancing hit comedies, dramatic roles, and successful business ventures, like her haircare brand “LolaVie.” Now, at 56, she says she is grateful to still be doing what she loves, but on her own terms.
