Steve Harvey’s Daughter Lori Didn’t Tell Them About Playboy Cover

Lori Harvey, the daughter of Steve Harvey, kept her Playboy cover shoot a secret from her parents until the issues had gone to print. The 28-year-old model and influencer recently discussed the shoot on the November 12 episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show.

Lori Harvey spoke about her cover shoot for Playboy Magazine’s February issue. It also marked the magazine’s return to print during her appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show on November 12.

The Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist star revealed that she kept her mother, Marjorie Harvey, and stepfather, Steve Harvey, unaware until the magazine had already gone to print. She said, “I didn’t tell them until I did it already,” Lori Harvey continued, “Because I understand also too kind of the stigma that can come with it, and I was like, ‘No, guys, I did it tasteful. Don’t worry.'”

She went on to share that her mother initially thought she was joking. “I called my mom, and I told her, and she thought I was joking. So, she called everybody around me, like she called my manager. She called my best friend ’cause my best friend did my makeup for the shoot and was like, ‘Did Lori really do Playboy?’ And they were like, ‘Well, what did she tell you?’,” she added.

Her mother was initially disappointed but ultimately liked the end result. Lori asked her to tell Steve Harvey later, but her mother could not hold it in. She recalled her father’s reaction, “He’s like, ‘Is she naked?’ And my mom was like, ‘No.’ And so then he sees and he’s like, ‘Oh, this is nice.’ I’m like, ‘Thank you guys. Thank you.’ So they were happy with it.”

Everything ended well with Lori Harvey’s Playboy cover shoot, which also marked the magazine’s first print issue since 2020.
