Pete Davidson addresses the prospects of SNL return

This weekend, Pete Davidson made a surprising appearance on SNL, his first one in a long time. During his appearance, he and former costar Colin Jost talked about their infamous ferry purchase, which made headlines. He also discussed his appearance at the Riyadh Comedy Festival in Saudi Arabia, which surprised many fans.

Fans loved Davidson’s return to the show. It seems that if Lorne Michaels asks, Davidson may be willing to return for a longer run, despite now having a steady flow of work in the industry.

Speaking to PEOPLE about the possibility of a return, Davidson said about the long-time executive producer, “I’d do anything for Lorne,” and added, “I had a great time hosting last time, and anytime you get that call, it’s an honor and a privilege.”

“It’s always relevant, it’s a hot show. People look forward to it, and the cast is great,” the Bodies Bodies Bodies star continued. “I owe that guy my life. He jump-started everything. So I’d do anything for Lorne, and he knows that.”

Davidson had been one of the most memorable stars on SNL. He joined the show at the age of 20 in Season 40, making him one of the youngest cast members at the time. He continued to appear on the show for eight seasons before departing in 2022.

Davidson later returned as a host in October 2023.

Outside of SNL, Pete Davidson remains active in the entertainment industry and has appeared in several films in recent years, including The Pickup, The Suicide Squad, and Fast X.
