Apple launches a knit bag for iPhone
Apple has launched a new accessory for iPhones and other pocketable items, called the iPhone Pocket. Created in collaboration with ISSEY MIYAKE, this product is inspired by the concept of “a piece of cloth.” Apple claims that its 3D-knitted construction can hold any iPhone model. It appears as a long piece of stretchable knit fabric that holds the iPhone on one end and features a long slit that enables the user to wear it around the body or attach it to a bag.
Two versions of this product will be released on November 14 in select Apple Stores and via the Apple website in France, Greater China, Italy, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, the UK, and the U.S. The short-strap version will cost $149.95, while the long-strap version will cost $229.95. Japanese fashion designer Issey Miyake added the qualities of his original pleats to the product, featuring a ribbed open structure. Additionally, the stretchable material reveals the contents of the iPhone screen when expanded, allowing users to peek at their display.
The short-strap version is available in eight different colors — Lemon, Mandarin, Purple, Pink, Peacock, Sapphire, Cinnamon, and Black — while the long-strap version will be available in Sapphire, Cinnamon, and Black.
Made of Nylon (14%), Polyester (85%), and Polyurethane (1%), the iPhone Pocket will be available at the following stores starting November 14:

- Apple Ginza, Tokyo
- Apple Jing’an, Shanghai
- Apple Marché Saint-Germain, Paris
- Apple Myeongdong, Seoul
