Prince Harry penned an emotional essay, titled “The Bond, The Banter, The Bravery: What it means to be British,” to mark the occasion of Remembrance Day. In the piece, the Duke of Sussex reflected on his life as a British. Now, Judi James, a behavioral expert, has pointed out a particular portion in the essay, which reads, “Though currently, I may live in the United States, Britain is, and always will be, the country I proudly served and fought for.”
Expert claims Prince Harry’s essay hints at struggles to find fulfilment in US
As per the expert, this part of his writing suggests that the Duke of Sussex has been struggling to find fulfilment in his life in the US. Prince Harry’s essay reportedly shows signs that he finds his “current” life in the US to be unfulfilling. As reported by The Mirror, the Duke of Sussex’s Remembrance Day essay further reads, “The banter of the mess, the clubhouse, the pub, the stands, ridiculous as it sounds, these are the things that make us British.” He continued, “I make no apology for it. I love it.”
A behavioral expert, Judi James, told the news outlet that the essay by Prince Harry hints at the lack in his life in the US. The person explained, “He sounds embarrassed by this ‘reveal,’ though.” She continued, “By adding ‘ridiculous as it sounds, he seems to be apologising to his US audience.” She also added, “perhaps even to his own family for this admission of nostalgia and what sounds like a sense of longing.”
The expert further said, “This is an important-sounding admission, too.” She continued, “Most ex-pats yearn for jars of Marmite or English tea bags.” Judi James then explained, “But Harry is letting everyone know, including Meghan here.” She continued, “That he’s missing a kind of shared, intense, complex humour that he might not be able to get in the US.” Meanwhile, the expert also expressed that the essay further hints at Prince Harry’s potential future plans. “It sounds like a teaser in terms of a return to the UK,” she added.
