Chappell Roan’s red carpet appearance at the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony on Saturday has made headlines. While many might think it may be because of her stunning dress, that’s not it. The star apparently had paparazzi warned not to “yell” at her. The TikTok video, which is going viral, shows a red carpet attendant warning the paps about the do’s and don’ts when the singer appears on the carpet.
Paps warned to not ‘yell’ at Chappell Roan for her Rock & Roll Hall of Fame red carpet
Chappell Roan’s recent red carpet appearance had paparazzi on guard. A TikTok video that is circulating online shows a red carpet attendant giving instructions about how to interact with the singer when she appears at the red carpet of the 2025 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, which was held in Los Angeles on November 8.
“OK, Chappell’s coming. No one will yell at her or she will leave,” the woman says to the paps, further instructing, “Everyone, be quiet, be nice, be smiling.” While some photographers laughed at the instructions, it seems some did as they were instructed. As a result, the 27-year-old singer obliged to their requests when they asked to “spin” for them.
The 40th Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony was held at the Peacock Theater. Other than Roan, this year’s inductees included music icons Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Outkast, Salt-N-Pepa, Soundgarden, and The White Stripes. Rock singer Warren Zevon, Janelle Monáe, Raye, and others were also present at the show.
While everyone dazzled at the red carpet, Roan stole the spotlight with her dress. As per Vogue, the singer wore a custom newspaper skirt designed by Efrain Nava. The skirt was made from shredded newspaper strips, which was accessorized with a glittering custom headpiece made by Manny Robertson. For the event, Roan was styled by Genesis Webb. With her iconic look, the singer paid tribute to two outfits from Cyndi Lauper’s “True Colors” music video.
