Jason Kelce Apologizes for World Series & Blue Jays Podcast Rant

Jason Kelce has issued a public apology to the World Series and to the Toronto Blue Jays after his recent remarks about them on the New Heights podcast. In the snippet, Kelce jokes that he doesn’t get excited about the Canadian baseball team.

Jason Kelce says he loves Canada in recent apology

Jason Kelce recently took to X (formerly Twitter) to address his earlier comments about the World Series and the Toronto Blue Jays, publicly apologizing. His tweet read, “Guys, I love Canada, I have been bamboozled by our social team that failed to show the whole story. How could I not love poutine, maple syrup, and beavers!! I was actually rooting for the Blue Jays in a World Series that I didn’t care about.”

“Seriously, Canada is the best, I was just talking shit about not being personally invested of caring that the team that spent the most money and built a super team won the World Series. That’s it. I am a known Canada advocate and Ice Hockey lover,” he further added.

Earlier, Kelce received massive backlash for his comments on the New Heights podcast about the World Series and the Blue Jays, plus baseball as a whole. In the clip, Kelce says, “You’re telling me I’m supposed to get excited about a Canadian baseball team and a team that spends more money than everybody else?” He playfully took a dig at the unacceptable way of winning, mentioning, “Who the f— cares about either? That’s why baseball sucks. You just buy World Series championships. It’s the dumbest thing in the world.”

Continuing his rant further, he said, “Everybody knew this was going to happen before the season. We just had a bunch of meaningless s— happen before it and then it happened. So, yeah, no, baseball’s not getting my stamp.” This clip received massive attention online, with fans expressing their disappointment with Kelce’s words.
