Tension is reportedly rising between Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun. The Euphoria star was recently spotted in what appeared to be a heated exchange with her ex-fiancé, Jonathan Davino. According to sources, the record executive was “furious” and felt “disrespected” upon learning about the actress’s unexpected meet-up with Davino.
Scooter Braun told Sydney Sweeney she ‘crossed a line’ by meeting with ex, per source
An insider close to Scooter Braun and Sydney Sweeney revealed, “Scooter got really mad. He doesn’t like that kind of behavior at all, especially knowing the history between her and Jonathan. He knows they had a serious relationship, were together for a long time, and even got engaged. So, seeing her with him again — and getting caught on camera getting into his car — really set him off.”
Reportedly, over the weekend, the 28-year-old was dining with friends and her ex-fiancé at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica when tensions escalated. Eyewitnesses said Sweeney appeared visibly upset inside Davino’s car, allegedly shouting, “I don’t believe you. Please leave, leave me alone.” The moment quickly made headlines, fueling speculation about the actress’s relationship with Scooter Braun, whom she has been dating since August.
According to the source, the 44-year-old made it clear to Sweeney that her behavior had crossed the line. “He’s made it clear that he wants her 100%, that she needs to compromise on some things, and that seeing her ex like that crossed a line,” the insider said. “He’s not controlling, but he wants her to know that he truly cares about her and that his feelings are real.”
Furthermore, the person continued, “He was hurt and wanted her to know. What he wants is full transparency between them — and for her to be the same way, but also to act like someone who’s in a committed relationship, not single anymore.”
Though Braun’s reaction reportedly came from a place of love, insiders admit he’s aware his stance might come across as “old-fashioned.”
