Jennifer Lawrence Won’t Ever Say No to 1 Popular Director

Jennifer Lawrence has named which movie director she would never decline working with. Lawrence stars alongside Robert Pattinson in their latest film, Die My Love. Directed by Lynne Ramsay, the film came out on November 7, 2025. During the film’s promotion, she and Pattinson did a lie detector test, during which she made a revelation. When asked which director she’d never turn down, Lawrence didn’t hesitate.

Jennifer Lawrence tells Robert Pattinson she’ll never say no to Christopher Nolan

Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson sat down for a Vanity Fair lie detector test to promote their latest release. They took turns answering questions, while hooked up to a polygraph machine. Lawrence chose to go second, forcing Pattinson to get on the hot seat first. However, it was soon time for the No Hard Feelings actress to take on the lie detector.

A few minutes into Pattinson questioning Lawrence, he asked her if she was pickier about roles now, compared to a few years ago. To this, her response was a quick yes, but a very interesting question followed. Pattinson read off a card, “Is there a director who you’d never say no to?” Lawrence, without hesitation said, “Well, yeah, but he’s never asked me to be in anything.” She further revealed that this director is none other than the visionary Christopher Nolan. After nodding for a second, Pattinson commented, “He’s pretty good.” Lawrence then said to the Twilight actor as he chuckled, “Must be nice. Tell him I say hi.”

Nolan and Pattinson worked together in the past on Tenet, which came out in 2020. The duo is also working together on the upcoming film The Odyssey, set for a July 2026 release. The cast of the film includes big names like Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, and Charlize Theron, among others. The film is an adaptation of Homer’s Odyssey, which tells the tale of Odysseus’s 10-year journey to Ithaca after the Trojan War.
