Russell Crowe Shares Weight Loss Journey With Joe Rogan

Russell Crowe is sharing the truth about his major weight-loss journey and how Joe Rogan played a surprising role in it.

The 61-year-old Oscar winner, known for classics like Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind, and L.A. Confidential, stopped by The Joe Rogan Experience to chat about his new film Nuremberg and his health journey.

During the sit-down, Crowe revealed he has shed over 50 pounds, crediting the change to a mix of smarter habits and a health brand Rogan himself swore by.

During his conversation with Joe Rogan, Crowe revealed that he dropped from 126 kilos (around 278 pounds) at the end of filming Nuremberg to just over 100 kilos (about 222 pounds).

“I was 126 kilos when I finished Nuremberg. I’m 100.9 now,” he said.

Crowe credited his progress to a mix of workouts, cleaner eating, and treatments from a medical platform called Ways2Well, a health brand Rogan had personally recommended. Crowe explained that he is not deep into the science, but the biggest win for him is how it has reduced inflammation in his body.

After years of sports injuries and arthritis slowing him down, the actor said the therapies, which included IVs and targeted joint treatments, helped him move better and feel stronger again.

“I’m not really across the science, but the real benefit I’m getting from these into my shoulders, my knees, and also IVs, is that it’s calmed down my body’s inflammation.”

According to Ways2Well’s official site, the company designs personalized health plans based on bloodwork, offering everything from hormone balancing and peptide therapy to stem cell treatments, which aim to boost recovery and energy levels.

Fans first started talking about Crowe’s transformation back in July, when he showed up at the Wimbledon Tennis Championships with his partner, Britney Theriot. Rocking a nice black suit, plaid tie, the Gladiator star looked fresh, confident, and miles away from his rugged, bearded look of recent years.

That same energy carried over to the 2025 AFI Fest premiere of Nuremberg in Los Angeles, where Crowe walked the red carpet looking noticeably slimmer and full of life.
