In a recent podcast appearance, Jennifer Lawrence opened up about not needing an intimacy coordinator for her latest release. She stars alongside Robert Pattinson in MUBI’s new release Die My Love, which will come out on November 7, 2025. Directed by Lynne Ramsay, the film follows Grace, who drifts into psychosis after her child’s birth. Pattinson plays her husband, who feels useless and helpless in dealing with her erratic behavior.
Jennifer Lawrence on not needing intimacy coordinator for Die My Love scenes
Lawrence addressed the nudity and intimate scenes in Die My Love while speaking with podcast hosts Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang of the Las Culturistas podcast.
When asked whether she had an intimacy coordinator, Lawrence mentioned how she thinks they had one, but did not need one. She explained how she felt safe with Robert Pattinson, saying, “He’s not pervy” and “very in love with Suki [Waterhouse].”
“We mostly were just talking about our kids and relationships. There was never any weird like, ‘Does he think I like him?’” Lawrence told the podcast hosts. She continued to explain how she would have an intimacy coordinator if she felt any of those weird thoughts existed. Further, she added, “A lot of male actors get offended if you don’t want to f**k them, and then the punishment starts. He was not like that.” Additionally, in a clip shared by Vulture from a special screening of the film, she opened up about her experience filming nude scenes while pregnant.
“I don’t care about nudity. I’m not sensitive about it,” said Lawrence. “I wanted Lynne to have total freedom artistically. I think being pregnant took a lot of, like, vanity anxiety away,” she added. The Hunger Games actress continued to explain how, earlier, before her scenes in No Hard Feelings, she was not eating carbs and working out. She mentioned that, as she was pregnant during the filming of Die My Love, she had no other option but to eat. “I was working 15 hours a day. I was just tired. And yeah, it felt really freeing. I remember, like, them sending over a close-up of cellulite and being like, ‘Do you want us to touch this up?’ And I was like, ‘No. That’s an a**,'” she added with a subtle laugh.
