Sebastian Stan shares his thoughts on Timothée Chalamet and Austin Butler
Sebastian Stan recently sat down for an interview with fitness trainer Don Saladino on his “Stronger Podcast.” During the conversation, the Marvel actor gushed about fellow stars Timothée Chalamet and Austin Butler, expressing admiration for them and other young talents in the industry.
“I’m lucky it happened in my 40s and not earlier, because I look at these young guys, like Timothée Chalamet and Austin Butler — they’re doing stuff that I don’t think I could’ve done at their age,” Stan stated.
Reflecting on his own creative journey, the actor continued, “I wasn’t ‘there’. I wasn’t caught up yet. I’m amazed at where they’re at, because I go, ‘Wow, where’s that guy gonna be at 40? Imagine…’, but for me, I needed to grow.”
Stan went on to look back on his childhood as an immigrant and how it shaped his artistic development. “I think a lot of it came because I had an upbringing. I was not born in this country. There was a significant part of my youth that I had to spend to get Americanized or like to fit in and really find my way in a different way,” Stan said.
The actor concluded, saying, “But it’s really now that I feel I’m finally getting to do the stuff I’ve always wanted to do. This was always the plan. It’s just to keep trying different things and different challenges.”
Meanwhile, fans are eager to see Stan reprise his role as The Winter Soldier in the upcoming Marvel movie, Avengers: Doomsday. The film is set to release in December 2026 as part of the MCU’s Phase Six.
