Kelsey Grammer, known for playing Beast in the X-Men franchise, revealed that he welcomed his eighth baby. The actor shared the news while promoting his upcoming memoir, Karen: A Brother Remembers, which is about his late sister, Karen Grammer.
Kelsey Grammer becomes a father of eight children at 70
During a conversation on the Pod Meets World podcast, Kelsey Grammer, 70, revealed that he just welcomed his fourth baby with his current wife, and eighth overall.
“We just had our fourth one, so it just became eight kids. It was like three days ago,” the X-Men star shared.
This announcement garnered excitement and wishes from the hosts, Rider Strong, Danielle Fishel, and Will Friedle. “Christopher has just joined the family,” Grammer added, revealing his new son’s name. “Welcome, Christopher,” Fishel responded.
Grammar shares Christopher with his current wife, Kayte Walsh. The couple has been married since 2011 and shares three more children: Faith, 12, Gabriel, 10, and James, 8. Before Walsh, Grammar was married three times, with whom he shares his first four children (via New York Post).
With his first wife, Doreen Alderman, he shares his daughter Spencer. With his ex-girlfriend, Barrie Buckner, he shares, Greer, 33. And with Camille Meyer, his third wife, he shares Mason, 23, and Jude, 20.
The Frasier actor is currently promoting his upcoming memoir, Karen: A Brother Remembers, about his late sister, Karen Grammer. In the book, the actor shares details about his early life with Karen and the devastating impact after she died at the age of 18. Karen was raped and murdered in Colorado in 1975. According to the book, what initially started as a robbery at the place where she worked ended with the tragic incident.
On the podcast, Grammer revealed that most of his kids don’t know much about their aunt. Additionally, he shared that some of the details in the book are “brutal,” and his younger “cluster” of kids are not allowed to read them yet.
