In an interview with the BBC, Harris hints that she may run for the presidential elections again. Previously, she served as the Vice President from 2021 to 2025 under President Joe Biden.

Kamala Harris reacts to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson having a better chance at winning the 2028 presidential elections over her. The former Vice President expressed her desire to run for the Presidential elections again and have a woman politician win the coveted title.
When the BBC revealed she is trailing behind Hollywood star Johnson to win a place on the Democratic ticket, Harris had an interesting reaction to it. She remarked, “I think there are all kinds of polls that will tell you a variety of things. I’ve never listened to polls.”
Continuing further, she revealed, “If I listened to polls, I would not have run for my first office or my second office, and I certainly wouldn’t be sitting here in this interview.” (via Unilad).
For those unversed, the 53-year-old actor is a fan favourite for running in presidential elections in the U.S., with fans dubbing him “Rock for President.” The wrestler-turned-actor addressed his honest thoughts on running for President during the promotions of his movie The Smashing Machine.
In a recent interview on Variety’s Awards Circuit, the host asked the 53-year-old actor if he had any grand ambitions to run for the 2028 Presidential elections. Johnson responded in disbelief, “It’s wild, man. I’m always honored that people ask that. I love what I do. I love storytelling. But yeah… we’ll see,” giving an ambiguous answer.
The Rock, as he is lovingly called by fans, considers fans’ faith in him an “honor” but hasn’t actually committed to a prospective career in politics.
In the past, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has never shied away from engaging in politically charged conversations. However, over the years, the Moana star has shifted his focus to building his career in the entertainment industry. He also refrains from participating in political conversations on social media and in public.
