Sabrina Carpenter playfully arrests Anne Hathaway
Sabrina Carpenter’s latest arrest victim is none other than Anne Hathaway. At one point, Carpenter stopped performing, and the camera focused on Hathaway, who was grooving and enjoying herself at the concert. In a video shared by Pop Crave on X, Carpenter remarks, “It’s a crime to be this gorgeous. Hello. What’s your name?”
The focus shifts to Hathaway, who looks resplendent in a black tube top with a sweetheart neckline as the crowd goes wild. “I’m Anne,” the actress replies, laughing and waving to the crowd.
Carpenter played along and commented, “You’re Anne! Wow!” Furthermore, the “Espresso” singer revealed, “I just don’t know what to do when I see a face like that in the crowd… has anyone ever told you that you look like a princess?”
When asked where Hathaway is from, Hathaway replied, Genovia. Notably, The Princess Diaries mentions Genovia as a fictional kingdom between France and Italy. The crowd roared with laughter and cheers, witnessing Carpenter and Hathaway’s playful banter.
The “Tears” singer then remarked, “Does anyone ever tell you you look like a princess?” Hathaway, clearly flattered by the praise, flipped her hair and made a heart gesture with her hands. Hathaway humbly accepted the pink handcuffs and blew kisses to the “Please Please Please” hitmaker as well.
Furthermore, Carpenter asked, “Anne, can I arrest you for being the first princess in the world?” She then handed Hathaway the pink handcuffs and arrested her.
Carpenter proceeded to sing “Juno” as per her concert tradition, dedicating the song to her celebrity attendee, Hathaway.
Unsurprisingly, fans were pleasantly surprised by this short and sweet interaction between Sabrina Carpenter and Anne Hathaway. One fan, unable to contain their excitement, commented in bold letters, “PRINCESS OF GENOVIA IS IN THE BUILDING.” The comment was accompanied by a GIF of Hathaway dancing.
A second fan wrote, “This concert turned into a romcom-meets-cop-show moment.”
