Hollywood mainstays have had their fair share of eccentric fan encounters, and Matrix star Keanu Reeves seems to have become the latest celebrity to experience such a fanatical incident. The Canadian heartthrob recently came across an erratic female admirer of his while exiting a theater, where the said fan crossed all boundaries of civility to express her affection for the celebrated actor.

Following his Sunday performance of the ‘Waiting for Godot’ Broadway play, Keanu Reeves was confronted by an overly enthusiastic fan, who not only claimed that she was his “divine wife,” but also tried to chase after his car.
On October 19, Reeves departed from the Hudson Theater after his act, only to find a horde of excited fans waiting patiently to greet him. While most in the crowd cheered for the 61-year-old actor as he made his way to his black-colored SUV, there was one fan who completely lost control after seeing their idol.
The woman in question hurriedly rushed to Reeves’ side as he stepped into his car, screaming, “It’s your divine wife,” while referring to herself. Naturally, the actor’s security personnel stopped the fan in the middle of her advance, who protested by yelling, “Let go, let go of me!” Moments later, the fan somehow managed to get free from the people restraining her, and once again ran after Reeves’ car while chanting, “Keanu! Keanu!” After getting close to the moving vehicle, the woman tried to have a go at the door handle of the car, all the while pleading, “Don’t let them hurt me!” to the John Wick star.
The clip, which has since gone viral on TikTok, drew the ire of many onlookers due to the woman’s impudent behavior. However, the fan showed no remorse for her actions and instead chose to give the finger to everyone who objected to her.
Notably, Keanu Reeves was exiting a Broadway performance of ‘Waiting for Godot,’ which is an adaptation of Samuel Beckett’s absurdist 1952 play of the same name. In addition to Reeves, the act also features his Bill and Ted co-star Alex Winter.
