A source told Star magazine that the actor has sided with his former girlfriend in the memoir drama. He reportedly called Kevin Federline’s approach “despicable.”
According to the insider, Timberlake found it detestable that Spears’ ex-husband has added “terrible insults and sleazy revelations” in his book. He seemingly questioned the DJ, who talked about his time with Spears in a negative way, especially when “she’s at her lowest.”
Reportedly, Federline revealed his ex-wife’s condition during breastfeeding in the memoir. He also claimed in an earlier report that she seemingly held a knife while watching her kids sleep. Apparently, the children were scared of staying at her home.
These accusations seemed to have annoyed Timberlake, who allegedly slammed the book. “Seeing her suffer makes him sad. It’s clear to him that the last thing she needs right now is being savaged by her ex,” the source told the outlet.
While the “Criminal” hitmaker kept mum for a viral, she broke her silence last week. She shared a lengthy post on social media, saying, “I have pride too.” She claimed that her sons have grown up listening and witnessing how their father treated their mother. Despite trying hard to reconnect with her kids, she was disappointed with her children’s limited visits.
Earlier, her representative revealed to Daily Mail that Federline has been “profiting off” her through his new book. “Sadly it comes after child support has ended with Kevin,” the rep added.
