Nearly two years after their very public split, which involved several accusations against The Wolverine star Hugh Jackman, Deborra-Lee Furness and Jackman have reportedly started mending their damaged relationship by being cordial with each other. Furness filed for divorce earlier this year, after a period marked by intense drama.

Before the split that left Hollywood stunned, Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness were together for nearly 30 years. In late 2023, their separation shocked both the industry and the actor’s fanbase. Furness previously described the end of their relationship as a “traumatic betrayal” that “cut deep.” After this statement, few expected the two to reconcile.
But it now appears that Jackman and Furness are rebuilding their friendship following the public split. Insider reports from Radar Online have confirmed that the two are moving toward making “peace.”
“Hugh has been trying to make peace with Debs for a long while now, but as you can imagine, it has taken her time to feel ready,” the insider revealed. “Settling all the legal stuff seems to have helped because she’s finally coming around. They’ve met up a few times in New York recently to talk things out, and by all accounts, things have improved dramatically, which is fantastic for everyone, most of all their kids.”
The couple’s children remain at the center of their efforts to rebuild. It is also for the sake of the kids that the two are trying to mend things. They are doing whatever they can now.
“Debs has every right to be angry with Hugh, no one is arguing that,” one source told the outlet. “But it’s also very unhealthy for her and their kids, so of course everyone in her life is thrilled to see her make this effort to forgive Hugh.” The source added, “It’s hard to imagine they will ever be close friends again. But if they can at least get to a point where they can celebrate family milestones together without tension, that will mean a whole lot for their kids.”
So, it seems that Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness are in a much better place now.
