Rumors about Kendall Jenner being the Bond girl in the upcoming James Bond movie have been making the rounds online. However, a new report has emerged, dispelling the speculations. Jenner wasn’t the only name rumored for the role. Several others, like Sydney Sweeney and Florence Pugh, were reportedly in consideration for the part as well. It’s currently unclear who the next Bond girl will be, as an actress hasn’t been officially cast yet.
Kendall Jenner is not the next Bond girl, insiders claim
According to a new report, Kendall Jenner is not going to be the next Bond girl in the James Bond reboot from Denis Villeneuve and Amazon MGM Studios. This report comes from TMZ. An insider told the outlet that the 29-year-old has not entered discussions to play the role. They added that the rumors were nothing more than fan speculation.
Previously, betting website Coral reported that the supermodel’s odds of starring opposite the next James Bond were 1/2 (cut from 6/1) after “strong support” (via Metro). Meanwhile, Paddy Power ranked Jenner in fourth place, behind Sydney Sweeney, Florence Pugh, and Ariana Grande.
While the model has starred in reality TV shows, like Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Khloe & Lamar, she does not have many acting credits. Her only notable acting role is in an episode of Hawaii Five-0 released in 2012. She played a character named AJ in the series.
James Bond himself hasn’t been cast at the time of writing. Although names like Aaron-Taylor Johnson, Jacob Elordi, and Glen Powell have been thrown in the mix.
A Deadline report revealed that Villeneuve was looking to cast a fresh face “in his late 20s-early 30s.” Moreover, in the same report, it was mentioned that the casting process wouldn’t begin until the Canadian filmmaker wrapped Dune Part Three.
However, a recent rumor from World of Reel suggested that Amazon was “quietly pushing” Elordi as a contender for the role. But the outlet noted that a formal offer wasn’t sent to the Australian actor.
Amy Pascal and David Heyman will produce Denis Villeneuve’s James Bond movie. Meanwhile, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight will write the screenplay.
