Channing Tatum’s naked scene is real, insiders say

Channing Tatum’s upcoming movie, Roofman, is already drawing attention after reports claimed that his naked scene is completely real. According to Rob Shuter, the actor went completely nude while shooting an important scene.

“It’s real. They shot it exactly as written — Channing was fully naked. No sock, no thong, nothing,” one source said. They also added that the scene was both hilarious and unexpectedly touching. The insider said, “He was nervous, sure but he committed 100%. It’s funny, awkward, and strangely moving.”

However, it remains unclear how much of the sequence will appear in the final cut. The source added, “But make no mistake — the footage is very real. It exists.”

Tatum later discussed the experience during his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He described filming the scene as “the ultimate worst nightmare,” explaining how it felt to be the only person on set without clothes. The actor explained that he typically wears a thong, underwear, or some form of coverage during such scenes.

But this time, no such coverage was used. He added, “[Cianfrance] is like, ‘Yeah, I don’t know.’ And I’m like, ‘What? What do you mean you don’t know how we’re gonna shoot this?’ And he’s like, ‘We’ll figure it out.’” Tatum added, “I think I dissociated throughout the day.”

In the movie, Tatum portrays Jeffrey “Roofman” Manchester, a real-life thief known for breaking into McDonald’s restaurants through the roofs. The scene in question reportedly takes place in a Toys ’R’ Us store, where Manchester is discovered by the store’s manager, played by Peter Dinklage.
