Prince William & Kate Middleton’s Home Doesn’t Operate the Way People Expect It to, Says Source

Prince William and Kate Middleton reportedly strive to build a cozy home with their kids, not a “royal empire.” According to a source, the couple has brought up their kids in a humble manner rather than in privilege. The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with Prince George (12), Princess Charlotte (10), and Prince Louis (7), will soon move to Forest Lodge. Reportedly, the family will continue their simple lifestyle, without any live-in staff, in their new home too.

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s home environment is seemingly different from what is expected. A palace insider told RadarOnline that the Prince and Princess of Wales want to raise their three kids in a “real family home,” and “not in a palace environment.” “They’re big on teaching responsibility from a young age – setting the table, tidying their rooms, making their beds,” they added.

Another source claimed that the children have developed the habit of doing “everyday chores.” Reportedly, they can earn “pocket money” if they help out with household work. “They’re much more down-to-earth than most people would think,” they said.

The family of five has been staying at Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor estate. It’s a four-bedroom residence with no space for live-in staff. The workers seem to stay in nearby cottages.

However, William and Middleton’s new home at Forest Lodge has multiple rooms, but the lifestyle will supposedly not change. “But even now that they’re moving to Forest Lodge, choosing to keep things the same really reflects their priorities. They value privacy, routine, and a stable environment for their children,” an insider claimed.

Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles have been brought up in Buckingham Palace with live-in staff. However, according to a family friend, Prince William believes that the “monarchy shouldn’t revolve around grand palaces anymore.” Hence, he will reportedly continue staying at his new home even after becoming the king.
