Angelina Jolie reportedly reveals she and her kids haven’t returned to winery amid lawsuit
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt reached a divorce settlement in December 2024. However, the former couple are at loggerheads over their French winery Château Miraval this time. In 2022, the “F1” actor claimed that Jolie sold her stake without his approval.
However, the mom of six has reportedly refuted the claims, saying that neither she nor her kids have visited the winery post the lawsuit. According to PEOPLE, Jolie’s attorneys filed new court documents in Los Angeles County Superior Court on Monday, October 6, in which she denied Pitt’s claims.
As per the documents, the Oscar winner claimed that “To this day, the children and I have never again set foot on the property, given its connection to the painful events leading to the divorce.”
The “Salt” star said the winery was “one of the first major investments” the former couple made during their relationship. “It was a focal point of our family life,” she wrote. Jolie and Pitt “were married there.” The Hollywood star even “spent part” of her pregnancy there and also brought their “twin children home there from the hospital.”
Talking about its impact, she added, “To have such a sudden break from my home and memories has been hard, and it was especially difficult for the children to have their lives so disrupted.”
Pitt reportedly filed the lawsuit in February 2022, alleging that her former wife sold her stake despite agreeing that neither of them would take such steps unless approved by the other person. However, Jolie filed a countersuit in September 2022, claiming that her ex has been “waging a vindictive war against” her since she filed for divorce in 2016.
