Ben Affleck couldn’t stop praising his ex-wife, Jennifer Lopez, for her work in the upcoming movie Kiss of the Spider Woman. Even though they separated earlier this year, Affleck supported her.
The two recently reunited on the red carpet in New York City for the movie’s premiere. Ben Affleck was so impressed by Lopez’s performance that he praised her for her efforts in Kiss of the Spider-Woman.

In an interview with E! News, Ben Affleck praised Jennifer Lopez’s performance in Kiss of the Spider Woman, calling it impressive and highly challenging. “Oh my god, Jennifer is incredible in this movie. She’s fabulous and it’s enormously difficult. It’s all these sorts of masters, so it’s not edited in a way where, you know, you can make a little mistake here and there in the dance, singing, and dancing, while also trying to hold together the multiple tones in the movie. This is probably the maximum level of difficulty. She pulls it off with grace. She’s wonderful.”
Affleck, who is also co-producing the movie, said, “I love her performance in the movie. She’s amazing and spectacular, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it.” When asked about why he decided to produce the movie, he said he truly believed in a project with real potential that others might overlook. He expressed pride in being part of the movie.
Kiss of the Spider Woman is the second adaptation of Manuel Puig’s 1976 novel and the 1985 Oscar-winning film. It stars Jennifer Lopez, Diego Luna, and Tenoch Huerta. Bill Condon wrote and directed the film. The musical drama will hit theaters on October 10, 2025.
