Keith Urban has reportedly “changed,” as per a source, amid his divorce from Nicole Kidman. Urban and Kidman separated on September 29 after 19 years of marriage. Kidman filed for divorce a day later, on September 30, on the grounds of “irreconcilable differences.”
Keith Urban’s changes worries Nicole Kidman’s friends
Keith Urban seems to have already moved on from ex-wife Nicole Kidman, even before their divorce officially goes through. An anonymous source close to Kidman told Daily Mail, “Keith looks as if he’s out to try to publicly embarrass and hurt Nic. He’s always been the quieter one, but now that seems to have changed.”
Urban, meanwhile, has been on stage with his band, including 25-year-old guitarist Maggie Baugh, with whom he’s been romantically linked. In April this year, the country singer, while performing the song, “The Fighter,” appeared to point to Baugh when singing the lyrics, “I was born to love you.” He also changed a lyric to, “Maggie, I’ll be your fighter.”
The same source added, “The fact that he changed the lyrics in the song he wrote about Nic and made it a dedication to his young guitarist Maggie Baugh says so much about how he’s dealing with their separation and how he feels about Nic.” Urban’s alleged change reportedly has Kidman’s friends worried.
Furthermore, the insider shared, “This is a total 180 from the Keith I know. It seems like a switch has gone off in his head, awakening this vitriol he appears to have for her.”
Notably, Kidman made her first public appearance at amfAR’s Dallas auction, after announcing her split from Urban. Both Urban and Kidman have not issued any public statements regarding their divorce or the rumors surrounding it.
