The proud mother told Extra TV how “blessed” she is to have such a “wonderful daughter.” “I hope she gets the recognition she deserves because she’s worked so hard for so many years,” she said. Rodríguez also reacted to the speculations about the “Marry Me” star being nominated for the Oscars. She quipped, “What took you people so long?”
She further stated that the “On the Floor” hitmaker has been working for over 30 years in the entertainment industry. Hence, she deserved to “win an Oscar or even get nominated.” Rodríguez admitted that she was “biased” as the singer-actor’s mother. She only wished that her daughter get all the “recognition that she deserves.”
Lopez is currently busy with the premieres and promotion of her upcoming movie, “Kiss of the Spider Woman.” Directed by Bill Condon, the film is executive-produced by Affleck and Matt Damon’s company, Artist Equity.
However, the 53-year-old’s appearance at the NYC premiere of the musical stunned fans. The former married couple posed together for the cameras, taking many by surprise. “Kiss of the Spider Woman” is set to be released in theaters on October 10, 2025.
