Blake Lively Goes ‘Silent’ Amid Taylor Swift’s Album Launch Despite Unexpected Nod, Claims Source

Taylor Swift launched her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” on October 3. She shared an Instagram post to celebrate the release of her new record, and her former friend, Blake Lively, subtly showed support by liking the post. However, the latest reports suggest that the album launch has sent the “Gossip Girl” alum under the radar.

Blake Lively’s unusual silence amid Taylor Swift’s album launch is not an ‘accident,’ claims source

Blake Lively and Taylor Swift were close for quite some time, often being spotted together. They had each other’s backs, and the actor often attended her bestie’s concerts. The singer, too, referenced her girlfriend in several songs. However, their friendship hit a hurdle after Swift’s name came up in the legal battle between Lively and her “It Ends With Us” co-star, Justin Baldoni.

The “You Belong with Me” singer recently shared an Instagram post, celebrating the release of her 12th album. Allegedly, Lively liked the post. Fans started thinking that all must be well between the two. However, it’s recently reported by Rob Shuter that the actor is staying under the radar while Swift’s new album makes headlines.

According to a source, Lively usually “posts, comments, or pops up at Taylor’s big moments.” However, this time she has “been unusually silent.” The source further continued, “It’s not an accident.”

Lively is allegedly having a rough time right now. It’s reported that she’s facing issues in her marital life with Ryan Reynolds. Moreover, amid her legal issues, she doesn’t want to be in the limelight. The insider added, “She doesn’t want to compete with Taylor’s spotlight or get dragged into the Taylor-Travis frenzy.”

Taylor Swift and Blake Lively have reportedly now stopped talking to each other. Upon the release of the album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” fans speculated that the song, “Cancelled,” was inspired by their former friendship. Swift provided insight into the song’s lyrics, explaining that it’s about cancel culture and people’s tendency to judge others based on scandals.
