The Kansas City Chiefs star, Patrick Mahomes, recently shared excitement for his teammate’s fiancée, Taylor Swift, and the release of her new album. In August 2025, Swift, who is engaged to Travis Kelce, announced that she’ll be dropping her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, today, on October 3, 2025. Mahomes revealed that they look forward to blasting Swift’s new release throughout the Chiefs’ facility.

In a radio interview with Carrington Harrison at 96.5 The Fan, Mahomes revealed that he’s “super excited” for Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl release. He said, “I haven’t been able to hear the album yet, but I’m super excited to be able to do that. And it’ll be blaring all through the Chiefs’ facility tomorrow. We’ll be supporting Taylor.” He praised Swift for putting in “so much hard work” in her upcoming album. “I’m excited to hear the album just like everybody else,” he said enthusiastically.
In August, the Reputation artist announced her album on the New Heights podcast, co-hosted by Travis Kelce. There, she revealed that she informed Max Martin, whom she regards as her mentor, about working on a new album during her Eras tour. She said, “I essentially said to him, ‘I want to be as proud of an album as I am of the Eras Tour and for the same reasons,’ and he was like, ‘Do you understand what kind of pressure that is?'”
Adding to how much she loves this album, she added, “We knew that we had to bring the best ideas we’ve ever had, and I also know the pressure I’m putting on this record by saying that, but I don’t care because I love it that much, and I’m so proud of it, and it just comes from like the most infectiously joyful, wild, dramatic place I was in in my life, and so that effervescence has come through on this record.”
She further revealed that while working on the album, she had two primary goals. She explained, “My main goals were melodies that were so infectious that you’re almost angry at it and lyrics that are just as vivid but crisp and focused and completely intentional.”
